Laumans

One of Europe's most traditional roof tileworks with an annual capacity of 12 million interlocking tiles. Firing takes place according to completely unique principles whereby each tile is placed on the kiln car without coming into contact with other tiles. This is particularly important in the production of glazed tiles and engobed tiles, which make up the works' primary products. Laumans was one of the pioneers of glazed roofing tiles and is among the absolute market leaders in terms of this product today - an example of which is the fact that the glaze is poured onto the tiles, which results in a dense and porcelain- like surface. Moreover, each tile is automatically measured by laser.

The company employs around 85 employees and is approx. 84%-owned by the Piper Group.
